With the ZD Rutherford Estate Vineyard as the backbone of this blend, three additional vineyards located in Coombsville, Carneros, and Rutherford contribute to the wine’s immense depth and complexity. Ripe, juicy aromas of candied black cherry and plum lead to hints of leather, blackberry, and clove. ZD’s classic Cabernet style is on full display, combining rich and concentrated fruit flavors with ripe, silky tannins. Balanced acidity complements added layers of complexity developed over three years in barrel, which leads into a delightfully long finish. The wine is showing wonderfully now but will also age beautifully.
