Is there anything more refreshing than a Gin & Tonic?  October 19th marks international Gin & Tonic Day!  The cocktail was introduced by the army of the British East India Company as a way to combat Malaria. The only problem being it tasted awful.  British officers took to adding a mixture of water, sugar, lime and gin to the quinine in order to make the drink more palatable, and so gin and tonic was born.  Stop in the shop, Saturday October 19th from 2-4pm to try some interesting Gin’s and Tonic’s and maybe change up your usual routine.

    Featured Gins being poured:

    Monkey 47

A good third of the ingredients for this special gin come from the Black Forest and are definitely not what you would call typical gin flavorings! In total, 47 handpicked ingredients, prepared in extremely soft spring water from our own Black Forest source, give MONKEY 47, whose pièce de résistance is the use of local lingonberries as some sort of "secret weapon" typical to the Black Forest, its unrivaled complexity and quality, which is fully brought to bear through masterly distillation and maturing in traditional earthenware containers.

    Plymouth Gin

Plymouth Gin has been made at the original distillery, in Plymouth, England, to the same high standards for over 220 years. Each batch is crafted in the same copper pot still dating back to 1855. The smooth taste of Plymouth Gin is the result of a balanced blend of seven hand-selected botanicals, distilled with soft Dartmoor water. And we’re one of the few distilleries to use a small amount of green cardamom for its intense, spicy, sweet and floral flavors. Plymouth Gin was cited in the first known Martini recipe over 100 years ago, and in the Savoy Cocktail Book, where Plymouth has been referenced over 30 times, making us the most referenced gin in the book. Plymouth Gin is an unmistakable classic.

    Beefeater Pink Gin

Beefeater Pink Gin is the vibrant new strawberry gin from Beefeater London. A delicious, easy to drink and fun strawberry gin made in London and based on the classic award-winning Beefeater Dry recipe.
