We here at the shop are getting ready for Thanksgiving, are you?  We have recently brought in some wines by Robert Sinskey Vineyards and they are a perfect fit for any Thanksgiving Day feast.  Drop by the shop on the 23rd, from 2-4pm for a free tasting.

Robert Sinskey Pinot Blanc 2015 half bottle $23.95

Wine folks often joke that Pinot Blanc in California is a weak alternative to Chardonnay. The 2015 Robert Sinskey Pinot Blanc stands tall on its own. TASTING NOTES: This wine is bright, attractive, and pleasing on the palate. Pair its charming aromas and flavors of Asian pear with a chicken salad with romaine lettuce and pickled scallions. -Winemaker notes

Robert Sinskey Abraxas White 2015 $39.95

Fresh and vibrant with aromas and flavors of green apple, pear, pineapple, lychee, lemon verbena and river stone minerality. These juicy, mouth-watering notes suggest that this wine should be sweet but, when tasted, a dry, clean, crisp profile defines Abraxas. Meyer lemon, key lime, ripe peach, fresh pineapple, candied orange peel, ginger, cardamom and chamomile are intertwined from the first sip to the last. The wine’s complex flavor profile is matched by layers of evolving texture. This wine is ideal for the table in its youth but will be a long-lived white wine for those who prefer the subtleties of age. -Winemaker notes

Robert Sinskey Pinot Noir Carneros 2014 $45.95

Rose, lavender and rosemary aromas spring from the bottle with an alluring and clear first impression of true Pinot form. Layers of ripe strawberry, cranberry, red plum, raspberry and Rainier cherry unfold shortly thereafter and are rounded out by the warmth of cardamom, clove and vanilla spice from time spent resting in elegant French oak. -Winemaker notes

Robert Sinskey Point of View Red Carneros 2014 $49.95

Like striking a major chord, the three varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, harmonize brilliantly - like they were always meant to be together. The wine opens with floral aromas of violet and rosemary, followed by a fruit stand of aromas and flavors reminiscent of blackberry, black plum, currant and black cherry. -Winemaker notes
