Please join Bern’s Fine Wines & Spirits October 24th from 6-7:30 for a seated tasting featuring the wines from Burgess Cellars.  Steven Burgess President and Vintner will be speaking about the wines.

Burgess Cellars has been family owned and creating wines with mountain distinction since 1972 on Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. When founder Tom Burgess purchased the 1870’s era winery in 1972, he established himself as a pioneer of mountainside wineries. Today, the second generation is building on Tom’s legacy, brothers Steven Burgess and James Burgess took over as President and Vineyard Manager respectively.

The new direction of the estate is taking Burgess Cellars to the pinnacle of Napa Valley wine quality.

The wines will be paired with a special selection of cheeses from the Bern's Cave du Fromage.

$39.95 per person, please click on the button for tickets. Seating is limited.

    Featured Wines

2016 Burgess Cellars Russian River Valley, Chardonnay
Lemon-lime, pineapple, mango, key-lime pie with yummy crust. Full flavored and impeccably, elegantly, balanced amounts fo fruit, wood, and acidity. Dry, but very fruity finish. Winery Notes

2013 Burgess Cellars Napa Valley, Red Blend Mountaineer
Our 2013 Mountaineer is black with ruby edges. Expressive, profound aroma with numerous red, blue, black fruits, black and jasmine tea. The mouth is soft, opulent, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, and currant with notes of espresso. A complex and hedonistic wine.  Wine Spectator 92.

2013 Burgess Cellars Napa Valley, Cabernet
Deep, dark ruby color. Complex notes of black currants, cassis, violets and savory herbs with a hint of red cherry. Light barrel spice and cedar aromas. Soft and lush mouthfeel, rich texture with subtle and well-integrated tannins. Flavors of black raspberry, dark chocolate, and cherry cola on the finish. Winery Notes

2013 Burgess Cellars Estate Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Vineyards is a powerful, burly wine. Lavender, menthol, sage, tobacco, earthiness and plum give the 2013 much of its brooding, intense personality. Despite its considerable intensity, the 2013 has relatively soft tannins for the year, so it should drink well with minimal cellaring. The 2013 is only 75% Cabernet Sauvignon. A good dose of Merlot (12%), Petit Verdot (11%) and Malbec (2%) round out the blend. 92 points Vinous
