    Winemaker Notes
This wine has a ruby red color. Notes of black cherry, violets and spice dominate the nose, while the palate is full and structured. It is elegant with flavors of luscious, dark, ripe cherry balanced by a fine, minerally acidity. Aging in French oak barrels has imparted a savory, spicy note to the wine.
This wine will pair beautifully with red meat dishes including duck, venison and lamb.

    92: Wine Spectator
Plush and supple, brimming with flavors of raspberry coulis, cherry, rosemary, dried rose petal, forest floor and smoky black tea. Harmonious, focused and pure, with terrific persistence on the finish, where pepper and citrus peel hints chime in. Drink now through 2023.

    91: Wilfred Wong of Wine.com
Extreme elegance? Well, maybe not extreme, but mighty fine indeed, the 2013 Yealands Estate Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is an ultra-class wine! pure and impressive red fruit aromas; firm, with sweet tannins on the palate; youthful, zesty red fruit flavors; will improve over the next two to three years. Suitable for vegetarians and gluten free diets. Winery also likes this with vension or lamb. (Best Served: 2014-2019)
