A very easy drinking option.

Wine Spectator 90 POINTS Strikes a gorgeous balance between rich ripe flavor and elegant structure. Not as big and brawny as some Shirazes but seductive for its juicy raspberry red plum and spice flavors on a bright frame. Impressive length and lovely texture too. Drink now through 2007. 4900 cases made. Issue: June 30, 2001 (on the '99 vintage) - Spectator Score: 90.

International Wine Cellar 88 Points Ruby-red. Fresh nose combines spicy dark berries and smoke. Juicy fresh flavors of strawberry and raspberry; offers noteworthy intensity for an Australian shiraz under $20. Finishes with easygoing tannins. Issue 97 July/Aug '01 (on the '99 vintage) - Tanzer Score: 88. —Stephen Tanzer
