Catena Zapata
Ripe dark fruit on the nose is accompanied by hints of cedar wood and tobacco and then followed on the palate by full flavors of black currant, black cherry and spice. It all comes together on the elegant finish with hints of espresso and clove.
Wine Spectator
Polished, ripe and suave, with gorgeous fig sauce, raspberry compote, blackberry jam and incense notes layered with enticing mocha and Kona coffee. The long finish is really stylish, despite its concentration. Drink now through 2011. 1,180 cases imported.

Wine Advocate
The 2005 Alta Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from three high elevation vineyards and aged for 18 months in 80% new French oak before bottling without fining or filtration. Purple-colored, it has an alluring nose of pain grille, pencil lead, spice box, black currant, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a medium to full-bodied, intense wine with superb depth of flavor, excellent concentration, and a firm finish. It will easily evolve for 3-5 years and offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2025.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
