2007 Bethel Heights Chardonnay $28.95

“Bright and lively, with zesty quince and lemon flavors on a juicy texture, lingering on the focused finish. Drink now through 2012. 788 cases made.” 90 Points Wine Spectator

2007 Bethel Heights ‘Estate’ Pinot Noir $27.95

“Light and snappy, with a bright feel to the raspberry and floral flavors, lingering on the expressive finish. Drink now through 2013.” 89 Points Wine Spectator

2007 Bethel Heights ‘Flat Block’ Pinot Noir $54.95

“A gorgeous, delicate style that lets its red berry and plum fruit dance sinuously over the polished, racy frame. Drink now through 2015. 151 cases made.” 92 Points Wine Spectator

2007 Bethel Heights ‘Casteel Reserve’ Pinot Noir $54.95

“My favorite of the collection is the 2007 Pinot Noir Casteel Reserve, a selection of the best blocks on the property. It is the most deeply colored as well as the most fragrant. Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and black raspberry aromas lead to a layered wine with tons of succulent fruit, 2-3 years of aging potential, and a long, pure finish. It will offer pleasure through 2022. Bethel Heights has turned in a solid performance with their 2007 Pinot Noirs.” 92 Points Robert Parker

About the Bethel Heights:

Two families established Bethel Heights Vineyard in 1977, in the Eola Hills northwest of Salem, Oregon. Twin brothers Ted and Terry Casteel and their partners Pat Dudley and Marilyn Webb detoured into winemaking after trying their hands at other careers and interests. Ted and Pat were graduate students doing historical research in France when they discovered the joys of wine. Marilyn and Terry were practicing therapists in Seattle when they started drinking Burgundy and became wine enthusiasts. Reunited by their newfound interest in wine, in 1977 the two families, together with Pat's sister Barbara Dudley, bought 75 promising looking acres and started a new life.

For the first thirty years Ted was responsible for the vineyards and Terry made the wine. Pat and Marilyn shared responsibility for marketing and business.

Recently the Bethel Heights team has expanded to include second generation leadership and ownership, bringing youthful energy, talent and passion into the blend. The new additions to the team are Ben and Jon Casteel (Terry and Marilyn's sons) and Mimi and Jessie Casteel (Ted and Pat's daughters), who all grew up at Bethel Heights then took off in various directions before finding their way back home.
