Freemark Abbey
Our 2001 flagship wine from the legendary Bosché estate exhibits opaque dark ruby color and intense forward aromas of blackberry jam and black currant. The oak is spicy and nicely integrated with rich fruitful flavors. The finish is moderately long, with modest tannins. A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot.
Wine Enthusiast
One of the best Cabs of the vintage. It’s still a young wine, all primary black currant and plum fruit flavors and toasted oak, with complex notes of coffee and mocha. This wine is extraordinarily rich and finely balanced, displaying power, elegance, finesse and an unreal depth of fruit along with great length. Drink now through 2015.
